Finding and Instructor:Don't skimp. Make sure they're certified and make sure they use the syllabus! Unfortunately, it's not required, but if you want to insure you're getting the complete information the instructor should be willing to cover ALL the material in the PPG1, PPG2, or PPG3 syllabus according to what level you want to achieve.

Getting StartedFind a good instructor! Make sure they're USUA/USPPA certified, use the org's syllabus, spend quality time with you in a simulator and have appropriate training materials. The PPG Bible and Risk & Reward are the best. use a simulator, Buy the Powered Paragliding Bible. It thoroughly covers what's going to go into quality training. Here are some highlights. Another mandatory item is "Risk & Reward." Even if you don't buy these things from here, do get them. We'll make a whopping $4 on the book if you buy it elsewhere and won't make anything on the video. But do get them from somewhere! |
