Find a good instructor!

Make sure they're USUA/USPPA certified, use the org's syllabus, spend quality time with you in a simulator and have appropriate training materials. The PPG Bible and Risk & Reward are the best. use a simulator, Buy the Powered Paragliding Bible. It thoroughly covers what's going to go into quality training. Here are some highlights. Another mandatory item is "Risk & Reward." Even if you don't buy these things from here, do get them. We'll make a whopping $4 on the book if you buy it elsewhere and won't make anything on the video. But do get them from somewhere!
